An American’s Guide (and trip report) for Tokyo Disney

I recently had the pleasure of crossing something exciting off my bucket list: a visit to my first overseas Disney park, Tokyo Disneyland! Needless to say, I had an absolute blast and enjoyed every minute of it, and there are some clear similarities and differences to the parks here in the United States. I’ve written up this blog to be part recap, part review, part tips & tricks (as best I can figure, given my one visit).

This is a long, detailed post, but this is because before my trip I struggled to find blogs and articles with those kinds of insight into Tokyo Disney. I hope this blog will be helpful for future US travelers to Tokyo Disney. For anyone who doesn’t want to read the entire thing, skip to the end for a quick recap. Without further ado, let’s take a trip down memory lane to Tokyo Disney!

Garden Grill at EPCOT: A Review

I have a feeling that Garden Grill is one of those severely overlooked restaurants in EPCOT, and maybe even all of Disney World. Perhaps you’ve never even heard of it? Well, all the more reason to keep reading so you can add this gem to your next trip…

Via Napoli at EPCOT: A Review

One of my favorite types of food is Italian, so it was a bit surprisingly (to me) that it took us a few trips to try out Via Napoli at Disney World. Curious how it stacks up against your favorite Italian and/or Disney World restaurants? Read on…

Tokyo Dining at EPCOT: A Review

With so many amazing restaurants at EPCOT, Leslie and I had some tough choices to make during our trip in 2015. We decided to avoid our favorites (sad face) and try some new places! For lunch one day we decided to pop in at Tokyo Dining…

Sci-Fi Dive-In at Hollywood Studios: A Review

First and foremost, it is indeed apparently “Dive-In” and not “Drive-in”. So, no, that is not a typo. 🙂

We had a reservation for Sci-Fi Dive-In on our last trip in 2013, but sadly had to shift our plans around and couldn’t get replacement reservations. So we made sure to make it part of our 2015 trip especially since we’re not sure if it’ll be there once Star Wars Land begins construction in 2016/2017. Come find out if it was worth the wait…

Yak and Yeti at Animal Kingdom: A Review

Yak & Yeti is one of only a few table service restaurants in Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World so we were excited to give it a try on our last visit. Did we see any Yetis while we were in there? Come find out…

Be Our Guest at Magic Kingdom: A Review

Be Our Guest is the newest restaurant in Magic Kingdom and needless to say it’s popular. Reservations aren’t quite as hard to get as Cinderella’s Royal Table, but it’s close. Demand is huge, and having finally gotten to eat there, I can see why. We actually ate here for both lunch and dinner, which is quick service and table service, respectively. So I’ll merge the experiences into this one review…
