If you didn’t follow D23 closely, I thought it may be helpful (now that it is over) to provide some updates to you. The very simple gist of it, at least as far as the US parks are concerned, would be as follows:

  • Star Wars Land is coming to both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Each park will be 14-acres, which is pretty awesome.
  • Toy Story Playland is also coming to Hollywood Studios in Orlando, and it will include 3 new attractions.
  • We got a lot of new looks at the Pandora land (and an official name: Pandora – the world of AVATAR) that is currently being built in Animal Kingdom.
  • Jungle Cruise restaurant is set to open late this year in Magic Kingdom
  • Soarin’ is getting a new movie at both parks.
  • Kilimanjaro Safaris will get a night time edition (though it really isn’t that impressive), and more details for the Rivers of Light show at Animal Kingdom.
