Disney has a lot of their own terms for things. Since communication is key, especially when interacting with cast members, I thought it would be helpful to outline some of the most common terms that you’ll encounter:
For every person that goes to Disneyland, most of them don’t enjoy wasting time. Obviously, the BEST time saving hack is going on a week day during off season if you can. But, not everyone can do that. So, here are some hacks you can leverage any time of year:
Because I am heavily crowd-averse, I would almost never be caught at Disneyland on a Saturday… during Halloween peak… during the 60th celebration time. But, I had to bend my own rules this weekend because a very, very, very special opportunity arose for my fiancee and I– a chance to dine at the very prestigious Club 33!
As I am sure you all know, Disney’s D23 Expo wrapped up this weekend and we enjoyed lots of cool news. If you’re not up to date on everything that was announced, check out my roundup post here. For this post, however, I’d like to talk about the things that were not announced that I wish had been in relation to the parks, particularly Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
If you didn’t follow D23 closely, I thought it may be helpful (now that it is over) to provide some updates to you. The very simple gist of it, at least as far as the US parks are concerned, would be as follows:
1. Since opening day in 1955, the Disneyland Resort has welcomed more than 700 million guests to The Happiest Place on Earth. That number includes guests from approximately 200 nations, nearly every country in the world today.
5. More than 50 scuba divers work year-round to maintain Disneyland Resort attractions, including “World of Color” at Disney California Adventure Park and Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage at Disneyland Park.
