Disney World reopening in July! What we know and what we don’t…

Disney just announced some reopening dates for Disney World in Florida. JULY 11TH, Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom would re-open. Then JULY 15TH Hollywood Studios and EPCOT will open, too. Disney Springs is already open, and I suspect the water parks will stay closed longer because crowds are more contained and germs seem easier to spread in that environment.

Obviously, there are a bunch of rules and guidelines we’ll all have to follow. Things like wearing masks, temperature checks, social distancing. Apparently some kind of (as yet to be revealed) park reservation system. Parades, fireworks, character dining are on hold, too, since they want to avoid crowds however possible. Lots more to consider though, some of which I cover in more detail here:

I recently had the pleasure of crossing something exciting off my bucket list: a visit to my first overseas Disney park, Tokyo Disneyland! Needless to say, I had an absolute blast and enjoyed every minute of it, and there are some clear similarities and differences to the parks here in the United States. I’ve written up this blog to be part recap, part review, part tips & tricks (as best I can figure, given my one visit).

This is a long, detailed post, but this is because before my trip I struggled to find blogs and articles with those kinds of insight into Tokyo Disney. I hope this blog will be helpful for future US travelers to Tokyo Disney. For anyone who doesn’t want to read the entire thing, skip to the end for a quick recap. Without further ado, let’s take a trip down memory lane to Tokyo Disney!

Picking the priorities for your trip

How to Properly Budget for a Walt Disney World Trip

Budgeting is a huge part of planning a Walt Disney World Trip. With so many options and add-ons, knowing how much you have to spend is a crucial component to your pre-planning. What’s as important as how much you have to spend, though, is prioritizing what you really want to do on your trip. Do you want more days in the parks, or a nicer hotel? Do you want to snack around the parks, or enjoy fine dining?

These are all trade offs that are crucial to understand as you allocate your budget. Below is a list of the things you should consider (and estimated price ranges where it makes sense) while you try and hash out the perfect trip around a reasonable budget:
